ORKA VOICE · Privacy

Your words are yours.

Local by default, cloud only when you choose it, and no behavioral tracking on this website.

01

On your Mac

Local transcription keeps audio, history, and vocabulary on your Mac. It can work offline after Apple’s model is downloaded.

02

Cloud is optional

OpenAI transcription is bring-your-own-key and only used when you select it. Your API key is stored in macOS Keychain.

03

This website

No account, cookies, marketing trackers, audio analytics, or transcript telemetry. Ordinary security logs may be processed by the website’s hosting provider.

04

Invite links

Invite depths are optional. When you enable them, ORKA VOICE sends an empty request once to create a public six-character code, then sends that code when checking its verified-download count. Those requests contain no audio, transcript, vocabulary, models or settings. Depth thresholds stay in the app.

Downloading ORKA VOICE through someone’s invite link is the one place this site touches your network address, and it never keeps it. The address is combined with a rotating secret and that invite’s own code, hashed, and the hash alone is stored so the same download is not counted twice. The hash expires after 48 hours and the secret rotates on the same schedule, so it cannot be reproduced afterwards, cannot be matched against the same person on a different invite, and cannot be turned back into an address. If the secret is ever missing, nothing is hashed and nothing is counted. No durable record of who downloaded what exists.

Only a browser actually fetching the app is counted. Link previews from chat apps, crawlers, and update checks from ORKA VOICE itself get the file without their address being hashed at all. The web address of an invite link is never written to our analytics — neither the code nor a mistyped version of the link.
