Today that bet goes live at orka.tools. ORKA is a small suite of native macOS tools, built by developers who wanted AI leverage without giving up control. Two products so far, one idea holding them together: the model isn’t the product, your workflow is.
ORKA VOICE
Native dictation that puts your words wherever your cursor is. Hold Fn and talk, or tap to lock hands-free — the transcript lands in whatever app owns the cursor, already cleaned up. No window to switch to, no place to lose.
It’s local by default: audio, history, and your custom dictionary stay on the Mac, and it keeps working offline once Apple’s model is downloaded. Cloud transcription is there if you want it, but it’s bring-your-own-key and only runs when you choose it. ORKA VOICE ships today — the 0.1.5 preview is signed, notarized, and ready to download.
ORKA CODE
An independent orchestration platform for AI coding agents — not a wrapper around one model. Run Claude Code and Codex CLI side by side, in profiles that fence off each other’s credentials, and approve every change before it lands. Switch harnesses when a better one ships; your setup stays intact.
A Fleet Kanban shows what every agent is doing at a glance. A turn ledger logs tokens, model, cost, and duration per session and per profile, so AI spend isn’t a surprise on next month’s bill. And context-occupancy guardrails step in before an agent runs away. ORKA CODE is in active development — no public build yet, but it’s where a lot of this is headed.
Why a suite
VOICE and CODE aren’t two products that happen to share a name. They’re two surfaces of one identity layer — ambient and structured, fast and deliberate. Same profiles, same governance, same you. If you’ve spent years personalizing dotfiles, shortcuts, and configs, this is the same instinct pointed at AI agents.
