ORKA VOICE · Release notes

Version 0.2.5

· Retry transcription from a saved recording, and give slow connections enough time to finish.

Retry a saved recording

If transcription fails after a recording finishes, ORKA VOICE keeps the audio in Support. You can now select Retry Transcription to process that recording again instead of losing what you said.

A successful retry is added to History and copied to the clipboard. If the retry still cannot finish, the recording stays available so you can try again.

Slow transcriptions get time to finish

ORKA VOICE used to stop waiting after 30 seconds on shorter dictations, even when OpenAI was still processing the recording or retrying a slow connection. That could leave you with a timeout report and a preserved recording instead of the transcript that was already on its way.

This update keeps waiting through OpenAI’s normal retry window before declaring a timeout. A genuinely stuck request still ends at a bounded limit, and ORKA VOICE still preserves the recording if transcription ultimately fails.
